MANTARAY 14.tif
Manta rays feed exclusively on plankton, especially krill, while the more acrobatic devil rays hunt small fish as well, and possibly squid. Mantas’ mouths are at the end of their body, opening forwards, while devils’ mouths are positioned underneath. Their horns—the cephalic fins around the mouth—are usually tightly rolled and pointing forwards, instead of unfurled and curving inward, as manta rays tend to hold them.
