KOI CARP 02.jpg
Logan Cubitt draws his bow at sunrise and shoots into the shallows of Lake Puketirini on the first morning of the 2014 World Koi Carp Classic—the most popular bowfishing event of its kind in New Zealand. On a weekend in November each year, hunters will shoot thousands of the invasive fish for fun, and the benefit of the Waikato’s beleaguered aquatic ecosystem.
