Secret Lake
"Secret Lake" Quentin Bennett is one of New Zealand's diving pioneers. Back in the 70's he used to pack his gear across Hawkes Bay backcountry in wheel barrows, looking for freshwater dive locations. Eventually he found this lake, with water as clear as gin-you can see from one side clear across to the other. Its location remains a guarded secret because the algae growth is very sensitive to disturbance. This frame sort of immortalises Quentin in his world. Sunday 28 February 2010.
