SOUTHERN RIGHT WHALE 18.TIF
Every year a small percentage of tohorā calves are born almost completely white. They lose this colouration as they become adults, although many adults retain white patches. Richard Robinson captured this image from the bow of a dinghy, using a pole camera, when this young whale swam over for a closer look.
