Zane Grey, Extroverted American game-fishing writer and novelist, Nicknamed them Blue Lightning, For their amazing gamefishing fishing traits, But in the end it was his 1926 classic, Tales of the Anglers Eldorado, That made Mako one of the most widely appropriated Maori Words in the World.
