Secret Lake- Quentin Bennett is one of New Zealand's diving pioneers. Back in the 70's he used to pack his gear across Hawke's Bay backcountry in wheel barrows, looking for freshwater dive locations. Eventually he found this lake, with water as clear as gin-you can see from one side clear across to the other. Its location remains a guarded secret because the algae growth is very sensitive to disturbance. This frame sort of immortalises Quentin in his world..Tuesday 21 December 2010..Photograph Richard Robinson © 2010.
