Spotted black grouper
Two large Spotted black grouper (Epinephelus daemelii) approximately 1.2m in length engage in what appears to be a mating ritual, continually changing colour to an almost vivid white and rubbing and wrapping themselves around each other for a period of Three Minutes and 20 Seconds (Taken from camera metadata) at a depth of 28 meters off the western point of the largest Milne Islet off the Coast of Raoul Island during the Kermadec Islands Biodiscovery Expedition, a project led by the Auckland Museum in conjunction with the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Australian Museum, and the Department of Conservation.
