A Flowery Flounder (Bothus mancus) a new record for New Zealand on the western side of North Meyer Island during the Kermadec Islands Biodiscovery Expedition, a project led by the Auckland Museum in conjunction with the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Australian Museum, and the Department of Conservation.
